Growing up on Long Island heavily influenced Chef Tom Schaudel's culinary style, which has been described as "Atlantic Rim." In this recipe rich with summer flavors, yellow-orange edible zucchini flowers are filled with creamy goat cheese, chives, parsley and shallots then fried in a cayenne-spiked tempura batter. To serve, swish bright green arugula pesto on a plate, form a pool of chunky cherry tomato sauce to one side and arrange two of the squash blossoms on top. Garnish with micro basil or basil leaf.
