There is something about a warm and gooey baked brie that turns a snack into an occasion, and a gathering into a party. The flavor pairings and ingredients that can be incorporated are endless, from a savory appetizer to a sweet dessert, try with your favorite fruits, nuts, tapenades, or spreads. We love the Mediterranean feel of pistachios, honey, and figs for a hint of sweet and salty that is great for any occasion. Dried figs can be found all year long, but you can also opt for fresh figs when in season for an amazing texture perfect for dipping a crunchy baguette in. Enjoy this simple recipe at your next get-together!

LC Come Together Recipe Baked Brie 500x485 2x

Ingredients

  • 5oz Wheel Laura Chenel Creamy Brie
  • ¼ Cup Shelled and Chopped Pistachios
  • ½ Cup Dried Figs
  • Approx. 2 TBSP Honey – enough to drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Unwrap the Creamy Brie and slightly score the top of the rind with a knife to allow some steam to release while baking.
  3. Place the wheel of brie in an oven safe dish and place dried figs around the cheese. Top with your chopped pistachios.
  4. Bake for around 15-20 minutes until pistachios look slightly toasted and cheese begins to get gooey.
  5. Remove from the oven and drizzle honey over the cheese and figs.
  6. Let sit for a couple minutes to allow the cheese to re-set, or just jump right in and serve with a crunchy baguette, or favorite crackers.
